Why Career Counselling?

Today most of the students follow the crowd and not their passion; we are more conc.erned about the marks which also does not get us the job.
After study, youth randomly search for the job and accept what comes their way and struggle their whole life.
Posting resumes on job sites does not bring the offers, instead it is these job sites that earn money by selling data.
People looking for the job have a very limited view of their abilities/skills and the job market.
Data shows that 97% of the students first finish the studies and then search for the job.
92% of the school students when asked about career choices replied ”let us see what happens”.
Career counselling services are practically not available to the students.
As per a report published in the Business World there are 25 cr young students in India , out of which 9 cr in secondary/ sr secondary and 14 cr in the colleges.
93% of schools in India do not have counsellors for guiding about available choices. A world economic forum says it is the most important factor why India sees a dropout of 77% at secondary education level.
A skilling report by Michael and Susan Dell Foundation says that only 1 out of 10 students in india receive career guidance.
The current ratio of student to counselor is 50,000 : 1 in india against standard ratio of 250:1. It is still less in advanced countries.

What should be done?

Choosing a career is a life time decision, it is to be carefully decided.
Today, students are not clear what they want to do, they either follow their friends or the family advice.
Today the job market is changing at a fast speed, the jobs which were relevant 20 years ago are no longer available, even 10 years is a long period. govt jobs are also rare.
For the post of “a peon in govt department”, a lakhs of graduates and postgraduates apply.
Today, jobs in demand before covid are no longer available after six months.
In such a situation it is important to evaluate your skills /abilities and knowledge of the ever changing job market.

It is a known fact that we enjoy what we love to do and we must find out the same. but is it really easy to know…… it is not.
The earlier you come to know the better it is… that also, through a reliable and proven method. Preferably when you are still in class 10th.
You can either go for “A Psychometric Test” or “DMIT Test” to understand your abilities and innate qualities.
God has given all of us some special abilities(known as gifts) and by knowing them accurately we can increase our chances to excel. Sachin Tendulkar is different then a good doctor or engineer .
Experts say follow your passion, but to know one’s passion takes one’s whole life.
Psychometric test is done for students of 12 years or more, where as dmit test can be undertaken at an early age of 5 years and above.
In case of Psychometric test students are asked to answer the set of questions which are then fed into the software to get the results, commonly in use in India .
In case of DMIT test fingerprints of all the 10 fingers are taken to get the results through an advanced software, commonly used in advanced countries i.e.US, UK, Japan etc. for the last 70 + years with a research backing of more than 150 years.
